Furyk Rejects Tiger Injury Fears

Furyk Rejects Tiger Injury Fears

USA captain Jim Furyk has dismissed suggestions Tiger Woods is struggling with any sort of injury ahead of the Ryder Cup. Woods’ injury problems in recent years have been well documented and he appeared to be moving stiffly on the way to the team photo shoot.

“I don’t think there were any issues,” he said, as reported by Sky Sports. “I was a little stiff on the way to the range too this morning. It was about 42 degrees. I watched him play a few holes. He doesn’t look stiff at all.”

Furyk also stated he wasn’t planning to pair Woods with Phil Mickelson, who last played together in 2004.

The duo played alongside each other in practice at Le Golf National, Paris, but Furyk says it is “probably not too likely” they will do so in the Ryder Cup – although he did not rule it out entirely.
