Rangers are among the teams interested in signing Dominic Iorfa in January, according to reports from Scotland. The Scottish Sun reckons the Glasgow giants could look to end Iorfa’s Molineux frustration, with Ibrox boss Steven Gerrard ready to welcome the former England Under-21 defender with ‘open arms’.
Rangers could lose captain James Tavernier, who is a target for Wolves’ Black Country rivals West Bromwich Albion, and Gerrard reportedly sees Iorfa as a potential replacement.
The 23-year-old, who was loaned to Ipswich Town last season, has been frozen out of the first team by Nuno Espirito Santo and is currently training and playing matches with the Under-23s.
However, he did earn praise from coach Rob Edwards for his recent performances, where he has been scouted by a number of Football League clubs.
Edwards told BirminghamLive: “I’ve been delighted with Dom. He’s been with us slightly longer and his attitude has been top notch and so have his performances. He’s been really consistent in training and in the games.”
