Atletico Madrid star Antoine Greizmann has likened Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappe to a young Cristiano Ronaldo. Mbappe has become the talk of European football over the past couple of years, excelling at Monaco before earning a big-money move to PSG and then shining at the World Cup in the summer for France, helping them win the tournament with four goals, including one in the final.
The 19-year-old bagged 13 goals from 27 appearances while on an initial loan spell with the capital outfit and has already scored eight in five top-flight games since making the move permanent, with four against Lyon last Sunday.
Greizmann has now joined up with the youngster in the France squad and confessed that he sees similarities between his compatriot and Ronaldo’s early days at Old Trafford.
“Kylian reminds me of Cristiano when he was in Manchester,” he told France Football. “Cristiano was the guy out wide, doing a lot of dribbling and occasionally scoring. He was not looking for goals, though.
“When Kylian does what Cristiano did in Madrid, thinking only about scoring, then he will do the same. He will be scoring 50 goals per season.”
