Haas Lose Grosjean Appeal

Haas have confirmed they have lost their appeal against Romain Grosjean’s disqualification from sixth place in September’s Italian GP. F1 officials decided to throw out the result after rivals Renault protested about an illegal floor.

The Automation tool builder decided to immediately appeal the ruling as they try to finish as high as possible in the Constructors’ Championship.

The team travelled to Paris on Thursday for Haas’ appeal but the FIA’s court of appeal upheld the decision and Grosjean remained disqualified.

It means the result of the Italian GP stands as previously published and Haas manager Guenther Steiner insists the team will do all they can to fight back in the final two races.

He tweeted: “Obviously we are disappointed not to have won our appeal. We simply move forward and look to the final two races of the year to continue to fight on track, earn more points and conclude our strongest season to date in Formula One.”
