Henderson Hoping For Wolves Response

Assistant coach Andrew Henderson says Warrington must learn from their Challenge Cup final loss before refocusing on the Super 8s. The Wolves went down 20-14 against Catalans Dragons at Wembley on Saturday as they failed to shine on the big day.

Henderson is as disappointed as anyone with the defeat and says they need to analyse what went wrong before switching focus to the visit of Hull FC in their next Super 8s clash on Thursday.

Henderson said in the Warrington Guardian: “We’ve got to dust ourselves down, we can’t dwell on it too much. We’ve got to look into it and we’ve got to answer some questions, and the players are going to have to ask some questions of themselves and each other to make sure that we don’t make that happen again.

“We have to bounce back at home against Hull this week and get our Super League campaign back on track and secure the semi-final spot to give ourselves a chance of the big one.”

Wire have won one and lost one of their games in the Super 8s so far and sit fourth in the table with a place in the Betfred Super League Grand Final still a possibility.
