Claude Puel could be without five first-team players for Leicester City’s trip to Brighton on Saturday. England defender Harry Maguire missed the 0-0 draw at home to Burnley before the international break with a knee injury and has failed to recover in time for the clash at the AMEX Stadium.

Compatriot James Maddison also missed the stalemate against the Clarets with a knee problem and Puel has revealed the attacking midfielder will be assessed on Friday. “Maddison came back in a training session and we’ll see tomorrow if he can be in the squad,” he said at a press conference on Thursday.
“For Maguire, it’s too early, we will see next week.”
Leicester are also facing the prospect of being without midfielder Rachid Ghezzal and striker Jamie Vardy as the two players are struggling with leg and groin injuries respectively.
Puel added: “With Ghezzal, we will see tomorrow, and with Jamie also, he had a pain in the last game, he came back today in the training session, we will see all this tomorrow.”
The Foxes will be without Daniel Amartey for approximately four months after he sustained an ankle injury in last month’s 1-1 draw with West Ham.
