Inter Milan defender Sime Vrsaljko says the Scudetto battle is wide open this season. Juventus have dominated the top flight in Italy in recent years and they are the current pacesetters as they seek an eighth successive Serie A crown.

The Nerazzurri are in second spot, six points behind Juve, and Vrsaljko feels the title battle is far from over.
“The league is open,” Vrsaljko told Sky. “We got it wrong at the start and we’ve recovered well now, but we can still improve. We’re really strong, we can go far.
“We know we’re strong but it’s easy to talk. It’s a long season, we’ll take it one game at a time and see where we end up. “I’m definitely hoping to play in the Champions League next year, finishing in the top three in Serie A.”
Inter are in action on Saturday afternoon when they host Genoa, while Juve host Cagliari later the same day.
