Former Crystal Palace striker Andy Johnson is confident the club can come through their tough period of fixtures with several points. Eagles boss Roy Hodgson admits his team have got themselves into trouble in recent weeks after failing to win any of their last two.
Defeats to Bournemouth and Wolves have now piled the pressure on Palace as they prepare to head to Goodison Park to take on Everton.
After that clash they then face Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester United but Johnson insists they should not be too worried.
“It will be tough, but Everton have found it hard, West Ham went there recently and beat them 3-1, and it is not the place that it was years ago, when it was a really tough place to go because they were almost always expected to win.
“If Palace start well, with Wilf [Zaha] and the boys getting at them, they will have a great chance. Palace have got a tough run of games coming up, but it doesn’t work like that.
“People say you should be beating the teams that have just come up, and losing against the top teams, but it doesn’t work like that.
“I am confident that from the Arsenal, Tottenham, Manchester United games Palace can still pick up points.”
