Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic has confirmed that midfielder Tom Cairney will miss the clash with Brighton due to a foot injury. The Scotland international limped off during the win over Burnley after being on the wrong end of a heavy challenge.
Cairney has since had to withdraw from the Scotland squad and scans have shown the extent of the damage.
Jokanovic has now confirmed he will be out for a few weeks and Cairney will be hoping to play Manchester City when the Cottagers take on the champions after the international break.
He told Football London: “Tom Cairney won’t be available for the Brighton game.
“Cairney has a foot injury and we still need to assess him but our expectation is he will be available in a few weeks.”
