Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic has reiterated that his team will take time to gel after the 3-1 defeat at Tottenham on Saturday. The Cottagers brought in 12 players during the summer following their promotion from the Championship and this reverse at Wembley follows one against Crystal Palace at Craven Cottage on the opening weekend.
They had their moments, though, particularly soon after their equaliser when Aleksanadr Mitrovic cancelled out Lucas Moura’s first-half effort.
However, Spurs regained their composure to secure the points courtesy of goals from England’s star duo Kieran Trippier and Harry Kane.
“Tottenham are a team with quality that have played together for three years,” Jokanovic said.
“We have played two and a half weeks all together, we are a Premier League team in a building process and we need time. We need to adapt ourselves in this new situation for us.
“At the same time, if you can’t find an end product it’s not easy to bring something positive out of the game.”
