Wolves are said to be bracing themselves for a bid from Juventus for midfielder Ruben Neves when the January transfer window opens. Portugal international Neves has been a star performer since his arrival at Molineux in 2017, not only helping Wolves romp to the Championship title last season but also playing a key role in establishing their place in the top-flight.

The 21-year-old was originally brought to Wolves by super-agent Jorge Mendes, who acts as an advisor for the club and has also helped them recruit players such as Rui Patricio and Joao Moutinho, as well as manager Nuno Espirito Santo.
However, reports are now suggesting that Mendes is brokering a deal that would see Neves move to Juventus.
The Old Lady are believed to be looking to bolster their midfielder options during the New Year and have pinpointed the former Porto star as one of their primary targets.
Mendes also works as Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent and played a key role in the five-time Ballon d’Or winner joining Juve during the summer, leading to the suggestion he has a good relationship with the hierarchy at the Allianz Stadium.
Wolves clearly won’t want to lose a player of Neves’ quality, although a bidding war could break out for the midfielder, as the likes of Manchester United and Manchester City have also been linked with an interest in his services.
