According to reports in Italy, Juventus asked Manchester United about Paul Pogba when they met last week in the Champions League. The Italian giants are keen to establish what the situation is on their former player, who spent four seasons in Turin before returning to Old Trafford in 2016 for a then world-record sum of £89m.
Rumours continue to persist Juventus negotiated a first-option clause when they agreed to the sale and would love to bring the France midfielder back to Italy.
Pogba won four Serie A titles with the Old Lady and he was given a hero’s reception prior to the Red Devils coming back to win the game 2-1 in the dying minutes.

Juventus officials reportedly asked their United counterparts if Pogba was up for sale and to also keep them informed if another club comes forward. One thing is already clear from the United side, however, the 25-year-old is considered a major commercial commodity, despite some of his poorer showings on the pitch, meaning they would want far in excess of their original outlay to entertain a sale to the Bianconeri or anyone else for that matter.
