Former captain Al Kellock is expecting a “different” and “more aggressive” approach from Glasgow Warriors in 2018-19. The Pro14 outfit put in some impressive performances last term and went on to top Conference B but were beaten 28-13 by Scarlets in the play-off semi-finals.
Glasgow also struggled to compete in the Champions Cup as they were overpowered by the likes of Leinster, Exeter and Montpellier.
Head coach David Rennie has been working his squad hard during pre-season to cut out their frailties in the pack and Kellock believes it will show when they kick-off at Connacht on Saturday.
“I think you’ll see a different, more aggressive Glasgow pack than towards the end of last season,” Kellock said.
“Part of that is what [head coach] Dave Rennie is trying to put into the squad. He wants tough players out there, guys that will go the extra yard.
“And we’ve got them in abundance. It’s just about bringing it consistently throughout the year.”
