Leganes have completed the signing of West Brom defender Allan Nyom on a season-long loan deal. Cameroon international Nyom made the switch to the Hawthorns in 2016 from Watford and he has been a regular first-team fixture ever since, making 61 Premier League appearances during his first two seasons.
The 30-year-old played the full 90 minutes in both of the Baggies’ Championship matches in this campaign and it was thought he would be a prominent figure in Darren Moore’s side this term.
However, it has now been confirmed the full-back has made the loan switch to Leganes for this season and he could be involved in Monday’s trip to Athletic Bilbao.
Reacting to his temporary departure from West Brom, Nyom says he will continue to keep an eye on his parent club as they look to return to England’s top flight.
“Good luck to my team-mates and the staff at West Brom for the rest of the season,” he wrote on his Instagram page. “To all the fans: I am one of you. I will be supporting the team every single game whilst I’m on loan in Spain, let’s get back to the Premier League!”
