RB Leipzig have made a fresh attempt to sign Everton winger Ademola Lookman by almost doubling their offer to £22m, claims The Mirror. Everton rejected a £12m offer from the Bundesliga club for Lookman back in July, but the Germans won’t take no for an answer.
Lookman impressed on loan with RB Leipzig last season, scoring five goals and assisting three more in seven starts and four substitute appearances.
Leipzig boss Ralf Rangnick said earlier this summer: “We want him back and he wants to come.”
Everton manager Marco Silva admitted last week that Lookman, an unused substitute for Saturday’s 2-1 home win over Southampton, was unsettled at the moment.
RB Leipzig head of recruitment Paul Mitchell is thought to be a long-term admirer of the player while the Bundesliga club appointed ex-Everton talent-spotter Laurence Stewart, who was instrumental in identifying Lookman, as their head of scouting in May.
