Liverpool have been checking out Bristol City left-back Lloyd Kelly as they prepare to replace Alberto Moreno in 2019. Reports in Bristol have claimed that some ‘very big’ Premier League clubs have been showing interest in the England Under-20 captain, who has trained with the senior Three Lions squad at St George’s Park.
Liverpool are understood to have scouted the Bristol-born player at Elland Road last month when Lee Johnson’s side lost 2-0 to Championship promotion contenders Leeds.
His profile aligns closely with that of current first-choice left-back Andy Robertson and, with Moreno expected to leave Anfield in January or when his contract expires in June, it would be no surprise to see Liverpool make a move for Kelly.
