Crystal Palace legend Attilio Lombardo says he can see significant progress at the club since his time with the Eagles. Referred to as ‘The Bald Eagle’, the former Italy international made a big impact at the club in his spell at Selhurst Park between 1997-99 following a move from Juventus.
The former Palace player-manager was a guest during the Eagles’ Premier League encounter against Tottenham before the international break and the 52-year-old has admitted the club have come a long way in recent years. “It’s just nice for me because I remember a lot about playing here,” the Italian told the club’s official website.
“If I played only for one year, it’s enough. It’s a beautiful atmosphere here. But everything’s new! It’s very different now, it’s improved a lot. I think it’s deserved for these supporters at Crystal Palace.”
