Lyon will have to play their first home Champions League group game this season in an empty stadium after being punished by UEFA.
The European governing body have brought the sanction on the Ligue 1 outfit following crowd disorder and racism in games last season in the Europa League.
A second stadium closure ban has been suspended for a two-year probationary period, while the club has also been fined 100,000 euros.
The latest disciplinary case came following incidents which marred the second leg of the Europa League round-of-16 tie against CSKA Moscow in March.
Lyon are in the Champions League this season after finishing third domestically last term and will learn their group opponents for this season when the draw is made on Thursday in Monaco.
