Wigan coach Shaun Wane has confirmed Dom Manfredi is likely to play when the Warriors take on Warrington on Friday night. Manfredi is ready to return from a two-year injury nightmare and was in the 19-man squad to face Wakefield in the Super 8s last week. He did not make it on to the pitch as Wigan beat Trinity but should get the nod this week.
Wane admits he has one or two niggles in his ranks but is confident of putting out a competitive side against the Wolves.
“Dom will more than likely play,” Wane said. “It doesn’t matter for me what Dom does in the game, I just want him to get out there, carry the ball strong and if something goes wrong then we will deal with it and cover him as a team.
“We’ve lost Joe Greenwood to suspension, Willie Isa is likely to come into the centres and Oliver (Gildart) will go in at centre as well. Sarg (Dan Sarginson) is playing really well, so we’ve got a bit of decent cover there.
“Lockers has got a sore calf and Ben Flower has got a tight back and we will see how he is, but we will have a pretty healthy team out there on Friday.”
