Mariappa Commits To Hornets

Watford have confirmed defender Adrian Mariappa has put pen to paper on a new two-year deal at Vicarage Road. The Jamaican international, who came through the club’s youth ranks, has signed a new deal that will see him stay with the Hornets until at least the summer of 2020.
Since making his professional debut for Watford back in 2005, Mariappa has since gone on to play 285 times for the club, making 38 appearances since returning two years ago for his second stint following spells at Reading and Crystal Palace.
Mariappa was named on the bench for Watford’s opening game of the Premier League season and will be hoping he can get his first minutes of competitive football against Burnley on Sunday.
