Marseille are being linked with a swoop on Arsenal, with talented young midfielder Ben Cottrell said to be the target. The 17-year-old has made his way through the Gunners Academy ranks and is tipped to have a bright future, but there is a chance he could leave for a cut-price fee.
Arsenal are keen to tie him down to a professional deal, but the door is still open for rivals clubs to swoop and the Gunners could lose him for a compensation fee.
German side Borussia Dortmund have already snapped up Jadon Sancho from Manchester City on a cut-price deal and are keen to do the same with Cottrell.
However, Marseille are also known to be in the hunt, with some reports claiming an approach for his services has already been made.
Arsenal will fight to keep hold but the possibility of the youngster moving to Marseille cannot be ruled out.
