Manchester United ace Juan Mata is being linked with Arsenal, which could free up room for Aaron Ramsey to arrive. The Spaniard has yet to commit his future to United by penning a new deal and that has kicked off reports suggesting his will look to move on when his contract expires, with a return to his homeland with Valencia mooted.
However, Arsenal could offer him the chance to stay in the Premier League for at least one more season as Gunners boss Unai Emery is a big admirer and is said to want him on board at the Emirates Stadium.
Emery knows Mata well from his time in charge of Valencia and is keen to do a deal, while the playmaker himself could also be keen on a reunion with his former mentor in north London.
Arsenal are on the lookout for a replacement for Aaron Ramsey, who looks set to leave on a free and has been linked with a move to United and various other clubs including Chelsea, Juventus and AC Milan.
It could well be Mata will swap places with Ramsey at the end of the season when both are out of contract.
