Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has confirmed Simon Mignolet will start the EFL Cup meeting with Chelsea on Wednesday. The Belgium international will make his first appearance of the season in the game at Anfield, with Alisson set to be rested.
It will be his first game for the Reds since January and he could be one of a number of changes.

Reds coach Klopp has refused to reveal how many changes he will make but the German is adamant a strong starting XI will still be named.
He said: “I will not name a number of changes. It will not be the maximum and it will not be the minimum.
“One I have already confirmed, so it cannot be nil, and it will for sure not be 11.”
