Mohamed Demands More At Celta

Celta Vigo boss Antonio Mohamed is aiming high this season and admits he wanted maximum points after three games. La Celestes finished 13th in the Spanish top flight last term before parting company with coach Juan Carlos Unzue at the end of last season, with Antonio stepping into the hot-seat and signing a two-year deal.

They kicked off proceedings with a 1-1 draw at home to Espanyol but have since beaten Levante away from home and Atletico Madrid at Abanca-Balaidos.

Celta will try to add another three points too their tally at Estadi Montilivi on Monday night when they face Girona but Mohamed feels they should already have another two.

“I expected my team to have nine points, not seven, therefore, I cannot be happy,” the Argentina tactician told Marca. “We always want to play the same at home; in Girona we will try to win by taking risks and doing what we attempt to do in training on a daily basis.

“All those players who signed this summer knew that they came to a team with a lot of competition, and those who are playing at the minute cannot forget that they all have team-mates who can take their place.”
