Aidan O’Brien says he is expecting much more from I Can Fly next season after his recent impressive form. The promising filly pushed Roaring Lion close in the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes at Ascot on Saturday and now connections are considering her next options.

Having also claimed a win this season in the Group Two Boomerang Stakes, O’Brien feels I Can Fly has the platform to improve and become a contender for big races in the future.
He said: “We thought she was a Guineas filly. She just lost her way in the middle but has been progressing with every run since, massive progressive as we saw, and there could still be even more to come next year.
“She’s a smart filly.”
