Mourinho’s Silent Treatment For Pogba’s Agent

Mourinho’s Silent Treatment For Pogba’s Agent

Paul Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola has not spoken with Jose Mourinho for months, senior Old Trafford sources have claimed.

The France midfielder was supposedly “rested” by his manager for Manchester United’s shock penalty shoot-out exit to Derby County in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night at the Theatre of Dreams.

Things do appear to be reaching a head, however, with Mourinho stripping Pogba of the vice-captaincy after the midfielder’s weekend criticism at a paucity of attacking intent in the disappointing 1-1 home draw against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

And United insiders state Mourinho and Raiola also have little time for each other, having previously worked closely together, when it emerged the Italian-born super agent offered the World Cup winner to both Manchester City and Barcelona earlier this year.

Since the departures of other clients Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrik Mkhitaryan from the Red Devils, during the second half of last season, the lines of communication over discussing Pogba are believed to have grown silent between him and the Portuguese tactician.

Raiola is understood to have collected around £40million in fees from the United board in the last couple of years but is reportedly now ready to move Pogba on in January if the situation does not improve rapidly.
