Former Manchester United boss David Moyes believes Wolves are capable of finishing in the Premier League’s top 10 this season. Wolves took the Championship by storm last term as they clinched England’s second-tier title and Nuno Espirito Santo’s men have kept the momentum going in the Premier League this term.
Sunday’s 1-0 victory at home against Burnley – the West Midlands club’s first top-flight win at Molineux since 2011 – has lifted the team to ninth in the table, having taken eight points from five matches.
Moyes was asked about what he felt Nuno’s men could achieve this season and the ex-West Ham United manager believes a top-10 finish is something within Wolves’ grasp.
“I always thought Wolves will finish mid-table somewhere,” he said on Sky Sports.
“But I also thought that this might be a difficult game for them and that Burnley would cause them problems.
“I’ve got to say, though, Wolves played really, really well and thoroughly deserved that victory.”
