Murray And Soares Secure Cincy Doubles Win

Jamie Murray and Bruno Soares continued their recent winning run with victory in the Cincinnati Masters men’s doubles final. The British/Brazilian partnership overcame Colombians Juan Sebastian Cabal and Robert Farah 4-6 6-3 10-6 in one hour and 25 minutes at Lindner Family Tennis Center.

Having lost in the final of the Western and Southern Open last year, Murray and Soares were determined not to let their second opportunity slip and took the title by winning eight of the final 10 points in the match tie-break.
The win gave them their first ATP Masters 1,000 title as a pair, backing up the form they showed when taking the Washington Open title a fortnight ago.

Murray and Soares, who also defended their Acapulco title in March, will next head to Flushing Meadows in a bid to reclaim the US Open title.
The 32-year-old Scotsman has now won nine titles since joining forces with the 36-year-old Brazilian in 2016, including the Australian Open and US Open.
