Napoli captain Marek Hamsik says they are in “a good place” and will be going all out to challenge Juventus after the international break. The Partenopei sit in second spot in Serie A and, although they are six points behind the reigning champions, Hamsik says they are ready to make a serious challenge to prise the Scudetto out of their grasp.
“We had a start with difficult matches, in the Champions League too,” Hamsik told sport.aktuality.sk. “We’re in a good place, even if Juventus are already a bit ahead. After the international break we’ll try to get to the Champions League last 16, and reduce the gap to Juventus.
“On a personal level I haven’t had a perfect start, but I’ve improved a lot in the new role. The Coach [Carlo Ancelotti] noticed that things weren’t going exactly as they should and slightly tweaked the system. “I think Napoli are once again showing the strength we had, getting good results and performances.”
