Ospreys head coach Allen Clarke says the club will have to wait to find out the full extent of the hamstring injury to Scott Williams. The Wales centre limped off after 49 minutes in the victory over the Cheetahs at the weekend and there are now concerns as to when the powerful runner will be back in the thick of the action.
Clarke admits the loss of former Scarlets star Williams is a real blow but the coach is keeping his fingers crossed that he will not be sidelined for too long.
“We will wait for scans but it is not something that is going to clear up in the next couple of weeks,” he said. “It does not look great at the moment so it is probably why I am not as stoked with the scoreline.”
The Williams’ injury is another blow for the backline at the Ospreys after fly-half Luke Price suffered a fractured leg in the opening Pro14 victory against Edinburgh.
