Chelsea will not stand in the way of Crystal Palace target Ruben Loftus-Cheek if he wants to leave the club in January. The midfielder was playing regular first-team football while on loan with the Eagles last season, which resulted in him forcing his way into Gareth Southgate’s England squad for the World Cup.
This season has been a different matter though and the player is frustrated with his lack of first-team opportunities after seeing a move away from Stamford Bridge fail to materialise over the summer.
Maurizio Sarri has used him sparingly, but when he has been given a chance, the midfielder has impressed, scoring a hat-trick against Bate Borisov in the Europa League and another goal in the win over Burnley.
Sarri has always suggested that Loftus-Cheek has a future and will not be allowed to leave but the latest reports now claim that the club will not stand in his way if good offers come in.
That is sure to put a number of clubs on red alert with Palace keen to take him back, while Everton and West Ham are also said to be in the hunt.
