Miralem Pjanic has ended speculation regarding his Juventus future by putting pen to paper on a new five-year contract. The Bosnia and Herzegovina international originally moved to the Allianz Stadium from Roma during the summer of 2016 and he has impressed during his time with the club, amassing 92 appearances in all competitions, while he has also helped the club to back-to-back Scudettos.

The 28-year-old’s new deal will run until the summer of 2023 and it will reportedly double his €4.5million per year salary.
Pjanic’s new contract should also end Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain’s reported interest in the midfielder, as those two clubs were believed to be weighing up a move for his services before the close of the transfer window.
The former Lyon star has spent the last seven years in Serie A with both Roma and Juventus and his new contract will take him beyond his 33rd birthday.
