Pretty Pollyanna looks set to make the step up to seven furlongs by running in the Moyglare Stud Stakes at the Curragh on Sunday week. The Michael Bell-trained two-year-old will be hoping to secure her second successive Group One victory following her triumph in the Prix Morny Group 1 Stakes at Deauville earlier this month.
It will be the first time the filly has competed in a seven-furlong race but Bell feels she will adapt well to the step up in trip.
“She’s in very good order and she’s being primed for the Moyglare,” said the Newmarket handler. “It doesn’t look as though the trip will be a problem on pedigree.”
Bell went on to confirm the only reason Pretty Pollyanna may not run at the Curragh is if there is a drastic change in the going at the Irish course.
He added: “That’s where she’ll head. I suppose the only thing that would put us off would be if it was very deep ground, but we can do nothing about that.”
