Tottenham could face a battle to keep Mauricio Pochettino as Real Madrid are ready to offer him a contract worth £85million. Real are on the lookout for a new manager to replace Julen Lopetegui, who was sacked on Monday, and reports claim they are ready to push the boat to land Pochettino.
Santiago Solari has been placed in temporary charge, and despite early reports suggesting he could get the job on a permanent basis, it now appears he is just a stop gap.
Antonio Conte and Roberto Martinez have also been mentioned as candidates but it is thought that Pochettino is the number one choice at board level and in the dressing room.
It is now claimed that Real will offer Pochettino a five-year deal worth £85million, and will also give him more of a say regards transfer dealing at the Bernabeu.
The fact that Spurs are about to move into a new stadium has always been given as the major reason why Pochettino would turn down the chance to head to Real, but that could have changed.
The Spurs boss is said to be frustrated with the fact they are not in their already and hinted in a recent press conference that he is far from happy at the club.
