Liverpool are hoping to cash in on Divock Origi before the closure of the transfer window, but their valuation appears to be the issue. The Reds have a wealth of attacking talent including Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino, as well as having Daniel Sturridge, so there is no place for Origi in Jurgen Klopp’s plans.
The rest of Europe have until close of business on Friday to finalise their squads as the window is still open for them, and Origi is said to be on the radar of many.
German outfit Borussia Dortmund are among them, but the fact that Liverpool want £27million for the Belgium international is proving to be a stumbling block.
No club is willing to match that figure and unless Liverpool lower their valuation, there is a chance he could remain on the Anfield books until January.
There is also the option for him to go out loan, but it is thought the Reds would prefer to sell him on a permanent basis.
