Richarlison has been passed fit while both Bernard and Kurt Zouma could be handed their Everton debuts against Southampton on Saturday. The 21-year-old Richarlison, who netted twice on his debut for the Toffees in last weekend’s 2-2 draw at Wolves, limped off during the second half at Molineux.
It had been feared to be a calf problem but it has turned out to be nothing more than cramp and the summer signing will be available to make his home Premier League bow.
Bernard and Zouma missed out last Saturday after being signed very late in the transfer window, but Marco Silva has confirmed that both could be involved when the Saints visit Goodison Park.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Silva admitted that Mason Holgate and Zouma will battle it out for the central defensive place left by Phil Jagielka after his dismissal against Wolves – with Yerry Mina out with a slight injury.
“I can tell you Mina is not available,” he said.
“He’s recovering from one small problem in his foot, our medical staff will give you more updates on the situation. I hope next week I can give you some updates.
“Of course Zouma is available if I take the decision and at the moment it’s between him and Mason [Holgate].
“About Andre [Gomes] you know he’s a player we have to take more time over, and all the others they are available.”
