Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg says there was a sense of relief in the Southampton dressing room after they ended their wait for a win. Saints secured a 2-0 win at Crystal Palace on Saturday to record their first Premier League victory of the campaign, with Danny Ings and Hojbjerg both on target in the second half.
Hojbjerg felt his side were unlucky to lose at Leicester in the previous round of fixtures and believes Saints learned a lesson from that loss to the Foxes.
“The last few games have had some positives, even though we shouldn’t have lost against Leicester,” he said.
“We came back and got a good reaction, taking on what we needed to do tactically.
“There are two feelings in the dressing room and they are that we are very happy and relieved because we’ve been working for a result like this for a time now.”
