Schalke youngster Suat Serdar remains on Barcelona’s radar after sporting director Ramon Planes travelled to watch him last week. The 21-year-old burst on to the scene last season with Mainz and his performances earned a move to Schalke this summer.
Serdar was on Barcelona’s radar prior to his move to Gelsenkirchen and the Catalan giants continue to be keen on his services.
Planes travelled to Germany last week to watch the midfielder play the majority of their 1-1 Champions League draw with Porto.
Barcelona are understood to be considering a number of options across Europe as they look to add some younger recruits to their squad.
The report claims that Planes was also assessing fellow Schalke midfielders Nabil Bentaleb and Amine Harit.
