Musis Amica will not race again this season after failing to fully recover from injury, according to Godolphin’s Lisa-Jane Graffard. The Godolphin-owned charge has been struggling with a number of injury issues over the last few months and connections have decided she needs time off.
Her most recent outing came in June as she was narrowly beaten by a neck in the Prix de Diane at Chantilly.
Musis Amica had to skip an intended comeback run at Deauville last month but Godolphin felt positive about getting her back in action after a gallop at Longchamp 10 days ago.
However, Graffard, who works for Godolphin, has confirmed she will take some time off to come back firing on all cylinders next season.
“She came out of her work at Longchamp in good form but unfortunately it has emerged her problems aren’t really behind her, so we have decided to pull up stumps for the year,” said Graffard.
“We’ll try to get her back for next year because she’s shown she has all the qualities to make a very good four-year-old.”
