Ryan Sessegnon has thanked outgoing Fulham manager Slavisa Jokanovic for playing a major role in his development at the club. Jokanovic’s three-year spell in charge of the Cottagers was brought to an end on Wednesday with former Chelsea and Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri being confirmed as his successor.

The Serbian successfully guided Fulham to promotion back to the Premier League last season, but the Cottagers have only won one of their 12 top-flight matches to date this term, with Sunday’s 2-0 defeat at Liverpool leaving them firmly rooted to the bottom of the table.
England under-21 star Sessegnon was one of the first Fulham players to react to Jokanovic’s dismissal and he was quick to pay tribute to the manager that handed him his professional debut and has played a major role in his development over recent seasons.
“Thank you for everything gaffer,” Sessegnon posted on Twitter. “You believed in me and gave me an opportunity. You changed the club around and made our fans smile again and for that you’ll always be remembered. “All the best for the future.”
