Former Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini took charge at the London Stadium this summer, replacing David Moyes, and the Chilean had a big revamp of the squad, spending more than £100million on new players.

England international Jack Wilshere was brought in on a free transfer, while Andriy Yarmolenko and Felipe Anderson arrived from Borussia Dortmund and Lazio respectively for a combined total of around £54m.

Scotland international Snodgrass has found himself back in the first team, having spent last season on loan at Aston Villa, and he is looking to take every bit of information on board from the new man in charge.

“He has won the Premier League title and managed in La Liga and I can only learn from people like that,” he said. “He’s been great with me, he’s always talking to me. That was the case from the off.”

The Hammers are yet to pick up a point from their opening four Premier League. They return to action on September 16 when they make the trip to Goodison Park to take on Everton.
