Bayern Munich look set to be thwarted in their attempt to sign Son Heung-min as the forward seems content to stay at Tottenham. Rumours began to circulate that the South Korea international might be interested in a move away from the north Londoners after struggling to find game time in the early part of the season.
The Bavarians were linked but would doubtless have faced competition for his signature after the 26-year-old’s stellar showing for Spurs during the past three years.
However, it seems as though all suitors can change their focus as Son has made it clear just where his loyalties lie.
“I recently renewed my contract with Tottenham, and I believe I need to focus on here to do more for the team. I’m happy at Tottenham,” he said on Twitter.
Son started his career in Germany, spending three years at Hamburg before a couple of seasons at Bayer Leverkusen.
