Graeme Souness believes Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha is “unique” in his ability and has tipped the winger for bigger things. The Ivory Coast international has established himself as Palace’s star man since returning to the Eagles in the summer of 2014.
Zaha was unable to have an impact during his time away from the club with Manchester United and Souness feels he may have been scarred from his spell at Old Trafford.
However, the Liverpool legend thinks he is destined for another big move and insists he would fit in with the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona.
Souness said: “I think he’s sensational.
“I think he’s got a unique talent and with the utmost respect to Crystal Palace – and maybe he’s been scarred by the experience at Manchester United – he’s ready for a big, big club, the biggest clubs.
“If he stays at Palace he’s going to end up with no trophies and think, ‘What if’.
“I think now he’s ready.
“Even for the big two in Spain, I think both of them would welcome him with open arms, he’s a door opener, and there isn’t too many of those players around.”
The 25-year-old already boasts two goals from his three Premier League outings this term and was recently rewarded with a new long-term contract by Palace.
