Trainer Henry Candy has suggested that Limato could feature in the Sprint Cup at Haydock after his Newmarket win on Saturday.
Candy was impressed with the 2016 July Cup winner’s return to form in the Listed Hopeful Stakes at the weekend and could be ready to throw the six-year-old into action again this coming Saturday.
Limato almost featured in the Sprint Cup two years ago but failed to race because the conditions were not suitable and the same stipulations will again be in place with fast ground required.
“He’s fine,” said Candy. “No plans. We’ll just see how he is and how the weather is.
