Celta Vigo striker Maxi Gomez is reported to be a top transfer target for Tottenham in the January transfer window. Gomez has been a revelation for the La Liga side when firing home 17 goals last season, while he has also carried that form into this campaign as well.
The Uruguay ace has bagged six goals in 10m appearances, so it is no wonder the scouts are flooding to watch him in action.
However, competition for the players signature will be fierce, and reports in the Spanish press claim that Tottenham are keen to strike a deal when the transfer window opens.
Spurs still need someone to put pressure on star striker Harry Kane and so far both Vincent Janssen and Fernando Llorente have struggled to do so and Gomez could be an option.
However Borussia Dortmund, who currently sit top of the Bundesliga table in Germany, will also be an attractive proposition for the 22-year-old.
Celta Vigo will fight to keep hold, but it is thought they will struggle to turn down any sizeable offers for him, should they come in.
