Swansea are reported to be lining up a loan swoop for Tottenham central defender Cameron Carter-Vickers before the window closes. Clubs outside of the Premier League have until the end of the month to sign new players on loan, and it would appear that Swansea have set their sights on the Spurs youngster.
The 20-year-old has enjoyed spells on loan in the Championship with Sheffield United and Ipswich Town, and there is a chance he could be heading back there with Swansea as they look make a sharp return to the Premier League.
Swans boss Graham Potter has been quizzed about a move for the USA international, and although he remained coy about the subject, it is clear to see the Spurs starlet is a target.
“Again I don’t want to speak about guys who are not here. This is just how I am,” Potter said. “Nice try! He is not our player. I would say it is fair we are looking to strengthen at centre-half.
“Joe and Mike have done well and been positive but clearly from a numbers perspective that is an area we can look to strengthen.”
