The striker has played second fiddle to Alvaro Morata for much of the season, leading to reports he could be on the move in January.
However he has shot down such talk and says he remains fully committed to the Blues. “I feel like I’m going back a few months with these questions, so I asked the same questions before the World Cup,” he said.
“I’m at peace, happy with this title of world champion, and that’s the best thing I could do in my career, I’m putting a lot of things in perspective. “I do not need to put a lot of pressure on me to have more play time. Of course I want more play time, I’m a competitor, I want to play, I’m in a big club where there are always big strikers.
“I’m not going to let go, I’m going to continue working to make my way in. Today there’s no question of moving, of changing anything, I’m going to hang on, do not count on me for give up.”
