Katie Taylor has admitted she was actually bored during the shutout points win over Cindy Serrano. The talented Irish fighter managed to successfully defended her lightweight world titles in Boston on Saturday night and was seen celebrating with UFC star Conor McGregor after the bout.
Puerto Rican Serrano, who suffered her first defeat in six years, did well to hear the final bell as she was outclassed by the 2012 Olympic champion.
Having looked so comfortable in the ring and backed by a large Irish contingent in Boston, Taylor has admitted that she was somewhat bored during the contest stateside.
“I got quite bored half way through the fight, actually,” she revealed after the TD Garden-hosted clash.
“I really did expect my toughest fight to date.”
Meanwhile, Taylor is now believed to be targeting a future bout against Serrano’s sister Amanda, who has won world titles in six weight divisions.
