Team Sky have announced their second signing of the week after the acquisition of Italian rider Filippo Ganna. The 22-year-old follows on from the signing of Ecuadorian talent Jhonatan Narvaez that was announced on Thursday.
Ganna has put in a number of strong recent displays, finishing second behind compatriot and Team Sky rider Gianni Moscon in the Italian time-trial championship.

He also has a good record on the track, winning two individual pursuit world titles as well as being a former winner of the Under-23 Paris-Roubaix classic.
And the former UAE-Team Emirates cyclist says it is a privilege to have joined Team Sky.
“It’s a dream to sign for Team Sky. It’s a very impressive team and everyone in cycling is used to seeing them winning the big races,” he said.
“For me, it’s fantastic to move to a team like this and I hope I can continue to develop and improve on my first two years on the road. I’m excited to meet up with the team for the first training camp and to start to work together.”
