The Terriers duo Jack Payne and Lewis O’Brien scored for loan club Bradford in their FA Cup penalty shoot-out win against Aldershot.Midfielder, Payne, joined the Terriers’ West Yorkshire neighbours on a season-long loan with 20-year-old, O’Brien, in the summer and both have become regulars in the League One bottom side’s line-up his term.
And, having been held to a 1-1 draw by the National League side in the initial first-round tie on November 10, the sides could not be separated again at Valley Parade in Tuesday’s replay, which ended 1-1 after extra time.
However, both Payne and O’Brien found the net in the shoot-out as Bradford won 4-1 to secure a second round place.
There was a familiar face in the Aldershot side as Town man Regan Booty, who is on loan with the Shots, also featured.
Huddersfield Town goalkeeper Joel Coleman will be hoping to play on Wednesday night when his loan side Shrewsbury face National League side Salford away from home in their first-round replay.
